Company History

Rex-Tone Industries Limited (Brand AT Inks) has a long and storied history in the world of Colors.

After 31 years of working with large Multinationals in the Dyes and Textiles field, Mr. Harish Goswamy  founded this company in 1994.  He along with  his team have a total collective experience of more than 150 years.

  • 1994

    The Beginning

    This was the time when the company started mainly as a trading company, however within a year, it set up manufacturing in partnership for Reactive Dyes, Pigments and Salt Free Dyes. Along with this, it set up a separate unit in Vadodara for making Dye-Intermediates to support the dye manufacturing unit.

  • 1996

    Started Manufacturing Salt Free Dyes for Inkjet Inks

    The Company mastered Reverse Osmosis and other purification techniques and started to offer their products to the Inkjet World for making Inks.

  • 2000

    First Water Based Pigmented Inkjet Ink manufactured for SOHO market

    The Company launches its first set of Inks for the Small Office Home Office ( SOHO) market in the Recycling business.

  • 2002

    Inks for Wide Format Industry

    The company ventures into the Wide Format Printing (WFP) Industry with Pigmented Inks.

  • 2003

    Solvent Based Inks for the Large Format Printers

    With the Vision to be Market leaders in Inkjet Ink manufacturing, Solvent Based Inks were introduced for use in Xaar and Spectra Printheads.

  • 2006

    Eco-Solvent Inks

    Extensive Research & Development yields a new range of products. Introduced Eco-Solvent Inks, specifically for use in Epson Printheads.

  • 2006

    Xaar Ink Partner

    Xaar approves AT Inks as an Approved Ink for Xaar 128 and provides warranty with its printheads when using AT Inks.

  • 2007

    Spectra (FujiFilm Dimatix) Approves AT Inks

    Spectra (now FujiFilm Dimatix) after detailed testing approves V Grade of AT Inks and provides Warranty with its printheads.

  • 2008

    AT Inks becomes a Xaar Ink Partner and Spectra Ink Partner

    Xaar and Spectra, introduce AT Inks on their Websites as "Ink Partner" for New Product Development.

  • 2009

    UV & Biodegradable Inks

    First Generation UV Inks and inks using Solvents from 100% Renewable Energy Sources are introduced.

  • 2010

    Inks for Konica Minolta™, Seiko™ & Toshiba Tec™ Printheads

    The Company launches Inks for more printheads in the market.

  • 2011

    Inks for Ricoh™ Gen 4

    As the industry evolves and new printheads are introduced, the company continues to introduce newer product lines to keep pace with the evolution in the market.

  • 2013

    Flagship Quattro™ & Duos™ Grades. A Single Ink across the Printer's Workshop

    The Company launches a Universal Ink for Multiple Printhead use. One Ink can work on Xaar™, Spectra™, Konica Minolta™ and Seiko™ Printheads with drop sizes larger than 35 pL. This brings relief to End Users who have multiple machines.

  • 2014

    High Performance Manufacturing In-House

    The Company starts the manufacturing of High Performance Yellow and Red Pigments under the ATPigments Brand.

  • 2015

    Standalone R&D Centre

    A dedicated R&D Centre is set up by the company to concentrate on product development for industrial inkjet printing applications.

  • 2015

    Ceramic Industrial Inkjet Inks

    The company enters the Industrial Inkjet Printing Industry by introducing Ceramic Inks used for Wall & Floor Tile manufacturing.

  • 2016

    New Generation UV and Ricoh™ Gen 5 Inks

    The company after extensive R&D brought out new set of UV Inks with Mercury and LED Curing for various substrates. Introduced various Inks for newer printheads in the market.

  • 2017

    Flagship PoColor Grade Is Introduced

    The Company Launches an ink for high speed printing and reduced odor while printing on multiple Printheads platform.

  • 2017

    UV Fluorescent Inks, DX Inks

    Developed economically priced Ecosolvent Inks for Epson™ Printheads and Fluorescent Inks.

  • 2018

    Introduced Pre-coats and Post-coats.

    New vertical created with development of analog as well as jettable Pre-coats(adhesion promoters) and Post-coats(over-print varnish).

  • 2018

    Dye Sublimation Inks

    Introduced Dye Sublimation Inks For Textile and Wide Format Industry.

  • 2018

    Introduced Hexxa Grade

    A Single Ink across 6 printheads manufacturing products with drop size 6pL and above.

Rex-Tone (AT Inks) was able to answer all of my questions and was able to show all the documents I requested. The information I asked about a certain batch was successfully retrieved. The daily operations are being managed by a combination of hard copy, excel and other programs, like SAP. Quality control processes are in place at each part in the cycle. Internal audits are being performed on a regular basis. Communication with Rex-Tone is good with a fast response time. The personnel is trained. The R&D department of Rex-Tone is well equipped.
